The Bar-B-Que

February 15, 2008

This is the BBQ which we have purchased for the use of our visitors and guests to our Tourist Park. Wetenancy-agreement-p1-340.jpg haven’t decided if it is going to be put in the communal area, which still has to be built or under a covered area beside the swimming pool. Wherever it is placed I am sure that it will get plenty of use from the tourists and guests alike. It has a rotisserie, a wok burner, hot plate, griller and even a sink. The Climate in the Northern Territory of Australia lends itself to having lots of BBQ’s or as our brothers and sisters from the USA would call them, Cookouts, especially during our Dry Season. That is when you can be absolutely certain that your outdoor function won’t be affected by the weather. It doesn’t rain here from about May through to October, not one drop. But when it does rain, usually from November to April, most inhabitants in other parts of the world would never see anything like it. When we say it rains, we mean that it has really pelted down. Some nights it seems as though God is providing us with our very own fireworks spectacular. The Weather Bureau has recorded up to 2,000 lightning strikes in a night. Amazingly very few hit near any homes and I have never heard of anyone or anything of real value being hit by one of these strikes.
